Amy’s love for cooking was established early on, as she grew up playing ” Sous Chef” to her mother and grandmother during her childhood. Her curiosity was sparked by international food traveling to different countries and her interest turned into a passion for the kitchen. Amy coming from an Italian family and her background in food management had extensive training for cooking large quantities without compromising taste and quality. After attending Ivy Tech Culinary program, Chef Amy had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence Italy, learning how to teach hands-on cooking classes that were exciting and educational at the same time. In 2008 Amy was the creator and founder of Dining Divas where she was a personal chef as well as wrote restaurant reviews and gave cooking tips for local magazines. Since opening A cut Above Catering, Chef Amy works hard daily to consistently strive for perfection and continue to create memorable cuisine for her clients which continues to make A Cut Above one of the top catering companies of greater Indianapolis. Over the years with A Cut Above Catering, Chef Amy has had the opportunity to cook as a sous chef for prestigious Chefs such as Martha Stewarts Team, Graham Elliot, Master Chef judge and Scott Conant, Chef and judge on Chopped for the Food & Wine Experience. A Cut Above also has served local and world-renown celebrities and bands such as Harry Connick Jr, Tony Bennett, Evanecence, Gladice Knight and many more. Amy really enjoys pulling her passion for teaching and cooking with teaching cooking classes to small and large private groups, from there she has taught countless classes and enjoyed being WISH TV’s Culinary Expert and regular tv spots on Fox 59.
